Preiser Animal Hospital has now offering appointments AND walk-ins! Our culture for 53 years has been a walk-in clinic, but for those appointments you can plan, appointments are welcome! When your pet or you have any needs at all, you can walk-in anytime during clinic hours! Walk-ins are accepted any time our clinic is open up until 30 minutes prior to closing for the day. The typical wait time clients can expect is approximately 20 minutes or less. While weekends are the busiest times, clients can always contact us and our receptionists can provide you with current wait times. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency. Preiser Animal Hospital is a family oriented practice which means clients can request any doctor that they prefer to see. While we are happy for you to have a favorite doctor, we are a small team and would love for you to get familiar with all of us if possible! At all times there are at least 2 doctors working. By calling our friendly front desk at (847) 827-5200you can find out current wait times, which doctors on staff and other pertinent information.

Emergency & Urgent Care
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet needs. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a poisonings, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency. In any true emergency, we recommend taking your pet to the nearest facility
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will see you anytime. Each veterinarian has designated appointment and surgery days, but there is always a walk-in veterinarian. When you arrive, our friendly client service representatives will answer any and all questions you may have!
PREISER ANIMAL HOSPITAL accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or Visa. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered. We do offer a third-party financing company for those unexpected emergencies that can happen for those who qualify.
We provide estimates for all surgeries and services. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges. Please give us a day or two to email or call you with an estimated treatment plan! We do request to examine your animal to assess exactly the needs of you and your pet to give you the most accurate treatment plan.
